Two great gigs this week!

Just finished two wonderful gigs. Last night we played at the Acoustic Lounge in the Grand View Hotel in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains. We had a wonderful attentive and knowledgeable audience. Many guitarists were in attendance and several were slide players ( preaching to the converted). The fellows of the Field played beautifully as usual and my Dragon brother Pete Drummond, filling in for Hamish Stuart, was in typically brilliant form. Lloyd Swanton was blinding as was John Stuart. It was a hometown gig for both as they are Wentworth Falls residents.  Driving home from the gig took 5 minutes!

On Thursday night we were at the Colbourne Ave. It's a church hall in Glebe with very good acoustics. They've been having jazz there for the past 12 years or so. Again, a wonderful audience, very attentive and appreciative. To sum it up.... a very soul satisfying week of Field music.

Thanks Lloyd, Hamish, John and Pete, big fun!

My partner and I attended the afternoon concert at The Grandview - it was a wonderful introduction to the music of The Field. We both nejoyed the advanced musicianship very much.
